24 Coastal Grill: A Hidden Gem on Jekyll Island

Listen - we’ve been to just about EVERYWHERE on Jekyll Island for food and this place by far has been the best food, service, aesthetic EVERYTHING!! A bit of a hidden gem where it is on the backside of the hotel but it’s ocean front and SO worth it. Parents - they have a playground! (The pool is for guests of the hotel) Go for the fish tacos or the shrimp and grits. The sunburned Shrimp for an appetizer were also amazing. You won’t be disappointed. The chocolate torte could have used more sauce but that’s my only complaint! Our server was Johnette and she was SO attentive and personable! 10/10, no notes.

Hidden spot behind the Holiday Inn. Changed from. 5 star to a 3....Went back a second time after enjoying the first visit. Was told 20-30 minutes wait, no big deal. 1 hour later, no call/text and kitchen was closed.....very disappointed....

Our Father’s Day weekend was marvelous. We were greeted as Diamond Elite members and the staff was just incredible. The 24 Coastal Grill had the best food, drinks by the pool…and talk about great service…Johnette, Jenn & April and everyone at the restaurant was fantastic. We had complimentary hot breakfast every morning…truly delicious. The Carnivore pizza is phenomenal as were the appetizer Peppers and Pork Wings…you have got to try them. The Resort had bikes for you and it’s right on the beach. You’ve got to add this one to your list.

If you haven't been to Coastal Grill, you have been missing excellent food, excellent service, and excellent adult drinks. Jenn is an excellent server being very attentive, friendly, and fast service. The food is the star here! My husband and I had the fish tacos with fries with a Peach Daqueri and Blue Ocean Margherita, and let's just say there was not even a crumb left. Very filling with great portion sizes. The beach view was beautiful! This restaurant will stay on the rotation!

Wonderful place to eat! The walls are almost entirely windows. Since the restaurant is so close to the beach you can eat and enjoy a view of the water and palm trees. The service has been delightful, Jenn was our server both times we dined here and she was so accommodating and a joy to talk to. While the menu was limited, the food was the best we had on the island. Our favorites were the southwest shrimp tacos (which were surprisingly spicy!) and the burger. 10/10 would dine here again

Tucked away on the back side of a hotel, 24 Coastal Grill offers a cozy dining experience with both indoor and outdoor seating options. We stopped in for lunch and found it to be a decent, though not particularly memorable, spot. The menu is fairly limited, with a smaller selection of dishes than we expected. While the food was decent and satisfying, it didn’t quite stand out enough to make us eager to return just for the meal. That said, the atmosphere was pleasant, and it could be a convenient choice if you’re staying nearby or looking for a quiet spot off the beaten path. Overall, it was a good experience, though perhaps best suited for a casual bite rather than a destination dining experience.

This is a great location, great atmosphere and has a lot of potential. The food was good. Good dinner menu options. We tried the georgia peacha (pizza), it was inventive and pretty tasty. The service was incredibly slow though. The staff was working very hard to keep up but they were understaffed.

Dinner tonight at 24 Coastal Grill deserves a bold 5 stars. If 6 stars were possible it would get 6. The food was made up of perfect bite after perfect bite. It was a rainy day and evening, but the atmosphere was warm, bright and inviting. We both agreed that it could only be even better on a warm summer day when the windows and garage style door were open exposing you to a stellar beach and pool side setting. The service was the cherry on top. Everyone was pleasant, professional and helpful. As fortune would have it our server tonight was Michael, whose attentiveness, attitude, warm professionalism and spot on recommendations hinted at a mastery in the art of service. When we later discovered that he was also the GM of the restaurant filling in for another server tonight, the overall quality of the restaurant and dining experience made sense. I cannot say enough good things about Michael, his staff, and quality and deliciousness of the food. The perfect end to a perfect weekend at Jekyll Island. Go eat here.
